Today was pretty laid back. After breakfast I did our laundry in the common laundry room on the 3rd floor. The timeshare provided laundry soap and it took about 1-1/2 hours. Then we started walking down the road towards the shopping area. Lots of typical touristy shops and some upscale clothes shops. We looked, but didn't buy. Then it was off to the Barking Crab for my long-awaited first lobster roll and I'm pleased to report that it didn't disappoint. This one was $19 - I plan to compare prices along our journey. After lunch we took a short break at the unit, then got in the car to explore the area a little. We drove down Bellevue Avenue with all of the beautiful mansions that were the summer houses for the rich and famous of their day. We also headed over to Middletown and stopped a the Newport Vineyards winery to pick up a bottle of wine. We selected a Gemini Red, described as a dry, Italian style wine, but we found it to be pretty light. It did work well with our salmon and corn on the cob that we cooked for dinner though.
Fitbit registered 6,681 steps.
